Description
The COMEN NV8 is a high-end non-invasive ventilator designed to reduce the harm caused by invasive ventilation in newborns and infants by helping avoid tracheal intubation, for use with premature babies and infants. It offers both NIPPV (Nasal Intermittent Positive Pressure Ventilation) and SNIPPV (Synchronized NIPPV), and also supports NCPAP (Nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure). Peak inspiratory pressure (PIP) reaches up to 20 cmH2O. It uses an abdominal respiratory sensor with 10 levels of sensitivity for patient-triggered synchronization, achieving greater than 90% breathing-synchronization accuracy in SNIPPV mode. It has an 8-inch LED touchscreen that tilts 15 degrees for clear visibility from any angle or distance. SpO2 monitoring integrates with Masimo or Nellcor modules, and the device supports online oxygen-concentration calibration during active ventilation. It is compatible with a range of nasal prongs and nasal masks, including third-party interfaces such as Infant Flow and Medijet.
