Description
The COMEN P6 is a therapeutic hypothermia system used to treat neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) in newborns by maintaining a lowered core body temperature for up to 72 hours, intended to reduce mortality by slowing apoptotic processes and decreasing brain oxygen demand. It is distinguished by an innovative Semiconductor Cooling Technology that allows it to rapidly reach target temperature. It uses the i-Servo intelligent closed-loop temperature control system, which automatically adjusts water temperature based on the patient's monitored core temperature and tracks both skin and core temperatures through induction, maintenance, and rewarming phases. The system cools the patient to a target core temperature of 33-34C within about 2 hours, using a flat-type water blanket designed for full-body wrapping coverage. It supports plug-and-play compatibility with COMEN's C31 monitoring module, enabling integration with the B8 incubator, BQ80 radiant warmer, and C-series patient monitors.
