The COMEN AX-400A is part of COMEN's AX-series perioperative anesthesia workstations, sharing the series' core ventilation and gas-delivery architecture with the AX-500A. It runs four control ventilation modes, three SIMV modes, and two pressure support ventilation modes, using ascending bellows pneumatic electronic control technology for a compact circuit and smaller loop cavity, achieving 7% ventilation accuracy and 65 ml/min low leakage with autoclavable bellows. Gas delivery uses individual flow controls with dual flow tubes for simple, precise minimal/low-flow anesthesia, with an optional 3-gas/6-tube flowmeter, and can automatically identify CO2, N2O, and five anesthetic gases via an AGSS-port sample-gas connection. Monitoring supports CO2, N2O, and anesthesia gas waveform display, MAC value display, real-time O2 concentration monitoring, and optional BIS value/EEG waveform display through shareable, cost-effective modular monitoring (BIS/AG/CO2). Additional features include one-hand installation and in-operation replacement of the CO2 absorber canister, PEEP support, and an optional closed-type active AGSS scavenging system.
