The COMEN V5 is an ICU ventilator engineered to provide full patient respiratory support from admission to discharge, covering intubation through weaning, invasive to non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen therapy. It offers 18 selectable ventilation modes for diverse clinical scenarios and recovery stages. The V5 is turbine-driven rather than relying on a central air supply or compressor, giving it mobility and flexibility; turbine performance is rated at 45 dB or less noise, a maximum flow rate of 210 L/min or more, and a turbine lifespan of 20,000 hours or more. It has a 15.6-inch TFT touchscreen interface. Clinically, it includes weaning-assessment indices (SBT, P0.1, NIF, RSBI), lung-protective measurements (Stress Index, C20/C, transpulmonary pressure), energy-metabolism and alveolar-ventilation calculations, and oxygenation-index tracking, along with iV-Cycle technology that synchronizes inspiration and expiration to patient demand. It can integrate with syringe pumps, monitors, and intensive care information systems for networked critical care.
