Description
The COMEN NC6 is a portable vital signs monitor built for efficient patient rounding in general wards, emergency rooms, neonatal units, post-operative units, and obstetrics. It monitors non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), SpO2 (with dual SpO2 capability for neonatal screening), temperature, and respiration rate, and supports both spot-check and continuous monitoring modes. Proprietary fastBP technology delivers a blood pressure reading in under 15 seconds with automatic detection of orthostatic hypotension, reportedly cutting per-patient assessment time by half, while plethRESP technology derives respiratory rate directly from the SpO2 signal. Flexible temperature monitoring is compatible with multiple probes and measurement sites, including ear, oral, rectal, temporal artery, and axillary. The NC6 incorporates evidence-based clinical tools such as Early Warning Score (EWS) auto-scoring for deterioration alerts, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), CCHD screening, and pain assessment, and connects to the COMEN eCenter-CMS via HL7. It mounts on a mobile trolley with a 5000mAh backup battery and a quick-release snap-lock mechanism for fast transport between patients.
