Aquilion Precision CT Scanner

Description

Ultra-high resolution CT scanner that Canon Medical Systems describes as the first UHR CT able to resolve anatomy as small as 150 microns, about twice the resolution of conventional CT. It uses a 0.25 mm x 160-row detector with 1,792 channels, a 1024 x 1024 reconstruction matrix and a 0.4 x 0.5 mm small focal spot. AiCE deep learning reconstruction and AIDR 3D Enhanced control noise, and SURESubtraction removes bone, calcium or stents from the data set. A 47 cm wide couch with 17 cm lateral movement supports patient positioning.
